The Swan Station - LOST Fan Project 🦢

I’ve always been fascinated by how spaces can tell stories. Ever since I first watched LOST, I wanted to step inside The Swan - that strange underground world where mystery meets routine.

So I decided to rebuild it from scratch in 3D. Every wall, shelf, and fluorescent light was modeled in Blender, textured by hand, and lit to feel like a real 1970s bunker. I used u/Choekaas’ amazing map of the hatch as a base, combined it with references from the Via Domus game, and kept refining until it felt like you could actually live there.

My goal wasn’t just to make it accurate - I wanted to capture the mood. The soft yellow light, the quiet hum, the feeling that someone just left the room.

The project keeps growing - more rooms, props, and story details are on the way.

If you’ve ever wanted to press that button yourself - welcome to The Swan. 🎥🌴

This is the main living room of The Swan. I wanted the lighting to feel soft and warm, like a quiet morning underground. Everything was modeled from scratch in Blender and textured with that ‘70s vibe in mind.

I loved the idea of creating a small personal space inside the chaos. The books, the lamp, the green armchair - they make the place feel lived in, not just functional.

Probably my favorite part to build. The dome panels were tricky - I modeled them one by one to get the right curvature and light bounce. The control desk was inspired by the show’s old props.

The heart of the station. I modeled it based on screenshots from LOST and the Via Domus game.

The blinking lights are procedural, so they actually animate!

This shot connects the main corridor to the dome room. I wanted it to feel like a transition point - calm, but with a sense that something important is just beyond.

A small detail I loved from the show - the idea that people down here still have routines. Modeling the old washing machine and the bike made the space feel human again.

My early blockout of the full station layout. It helped me understand proportions and camera movement before getting into details.
